EPR – Report Packaging Data (RPD) service launched

Under DEFRA’s Collection and Packaging Reform (CPR) programme, a new service has been launched to allow for reporting of packaging data.

Large producers who are obligated under Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations are required to report their packaging data to the appropriate regulator in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Obligated large producers and compliance schemes are required to create an account on the new Report Packaging Data (RPD) service, so they can enrol and submit their packaging data.

The new RPD service opened to compliance scheme groups on Monday, 14 August 2023, and will be available for large producers from today (Wednesday, 16 August 2023).

To support organisations with the process of collecting and reporting data, bite-sized how-to guide videos have been published. These guides have been produced in conjunction with the regulators. The first set can be found on YouTube:

The CPR’s Business Readiness Forum team will publish further video guides soon.

There will be a session on the RPD service at the next Business Readiness Forum on Tuesday, 5 September 2023 – register here.
