What is the BMA Sustainability Award?
As the leading voice for the bathroom industry in the UK, the BMA is committed to promoting environmental stewardship and recognising the remarkable efforts made by our members to reduce their environmental impacts.
Open to all full and affiliate BMA members, the award recognises the various initiatives that bathroom manufacturers have embarked on in an aspirational path towards more sustainable practices. From transitioning operations to a circular economy model, reducing carbon emissions, educating staff about water use and water-efficient products, or inspiring consumers to make eco-friendly decisions through marketing and product campaigns – we are proud to recognise your incredible efforts in advocating for the planet.
While there will be only one overall winner, exceptional submissions will be awarded a commendation.
How do I enter?
Submitting an entry is quick and easy, using a convenient entry form.
Your supporting statement should explain the initiative’s background, the team members involved, the process, and, most importantly, the outcomes. This should be up to 400 words.
We also request all entries to be accompanied by a video of up to three minutes, which can even be shot on an iPhone. Don’t underestimate the power of a compelling video in showcasing what sets your entry apart.
Nominations must be received by May 15, 2025.
The judging process
An independent judging panel will oversee the nominations.
They will score the entries based on the following:
- The quality of the entry
- The scale of potential positive environmental impact
- Outcomes achieved
A shortlist will be announced on June 26 at the BMA Insights Live sessions at InstallerSHOW 2025, held at the NEC, Birmingham.
We’ll also confirm the shortlist via our website and directly to all who have submitted an entry.
The overall winner and any commendations will be announced at the BMA Connect Conference 2025 gala dinner on September 17.
