The Association of Manufacturers of Domestic Appliances (AMDEA), the UK trade association for the manufacturers of small and large domestic appliances, announces the appointment of Stefan Hay as its new CEO.
Stefan Hay will take over from Paul Hide, who has stepped down after nearly six years in the role.
Mr Hay has spent three decades working at a senior level with trade associations, membership bodies and not-for-profit organisations, including the Confederation of European Security Services (CoESS), the Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA) and most recently as CEO of the National Tyre Distributors Association (NTDA). Prior to that, he worked in various operational and training roles in the corporate security sector.
Mr Hay has been interviewed on what he hopes to bring to the role, outlines some of the challenges and opportunities ahead, shares his views on key issues including sustainability, safety, AI, and government policy, and discusses some of his interests and passions outside of work.
