The Introduction to Bathrooms and Domestic Showering Building Blocks are the latest additions to the BMF Building Block library. The BMA’s partnership with the BMF, and the award-winning e-learning partner Cortexa, ensure the high quality of the modules and slick learning platform.

Modules:

TMVs: The Thermostatic Mixing Valves module looks at the vast range of thermostatic mixing valves that are available and offers essential information which will allow the Retailer, Merchant and Installer to provide items best suited to the end user’s needs whilst the customer’s major considerations will be cost, functionality, durability and aesthetics. It is also essential to consider several important additional factors; available space, storage requirements and the materials used to manufacture the furniture, and its suitability and compatibility with the bathroom bathing and/or showering suite.

Shower Trays: The Shower Trays module looks at the vast range of shower trays that are available and offers essential information which will allow the retailer, merchant and installer to provide items best suited to the end user needs whilst the customer’s major considerations will be cost, functionality, durability and aesthetics.

Shower Controls: The Shower Controls module looks at the variety of available shower controls and offers essential information on installation, design and troubleshooting.

Sanitaryware & Fittings: The Sanitaryware & Fittings module looks at the vast range of sanitaryware and fittings that are available and offers essential information which will allow the retailer, merchant and installer to provide items best suited to the end user needs whilst considering the customer’s major requirements.

Shower Enclosure: In this short 15-minute module, you will learn the ins and outs of shower enclosures, how to install them and the standards and regulations that must be met to reach required safety levels.

Domestic Water Systems: This module outlines how different types of domestic water systems work and gives guidance on suitable products.
The manufacturer’s guidance on plumbing requirements must be followed in all cases. All installations must meet Building Regulations, Water Regulations/Bye-laws and BS 8558:2011 (Guide to the design, installation, testing and maintenance of services supplying water for domestic use within buildings and their curtilages. Complimentary guidance to BS EN 806).
The Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations (Byelaws 2000 in Scotland) are mainly about ensuring the integrity of the mains supply. In particular, they are designed to prevent misuse, waste, undue consumption, erroneous measurement and, most importantly, drinking water contamination.

Baths: This module looks at the vast range of baths that are available and offers essential information which will allow the retailer, merchant and installer to provide items best suited to the end user’s needs, being cost, functionality, durability and aesthetics.

Brassware: The brassware module looks at the vast range available and offers essential information which will arm retailers, merchants, and installers with vital information to match the perfect brassware to your customers’ desires. Whether it’s about cost-effectiveness, functionality, durability, or aesthetics.

Bathroom Furniture: The Bathroom Furniture module looks at the vast range of bathroom furniture that is available and offers essential information which will allow the retailer, merchant and installer to provide items best suited to the end user needs whilst the customer’s major considerations will be cost, functionality, durability and aesthetics.
