Methven’s journey began in 1866, when we were founded by Scottish born George Methven in Dunedin, New Zealand.

With an internationally renowned research and development team, who have decades of experience designing showerheads for water stressed Australian and New Zealand homes where significantly lower flow rates than those in the UK are a legal requirement, water conservation is at the heart of our business.
Our dedication to water conservation also extends to our innovative showering technologies. Our patented Aurajet® technology provides a full-bodied spray with immersive full body contact for an invigorating showering experience while Satinjet® uses twin-jet technology to create optimum water droplet size and pressure, with over 300,000 droplets per second.
So that individuals can experience a tailor-made shower experience, each technology is incorporated into a range of showers that accommodate for different water pressures. Homeowners can also benefit from equally efficient tapware designed to complement our showers.

We have a specification range brochure which features products that meet energy saving targets and comply with the optimal Part G regulations of 110 litres per person, allowing new homeowners to actively reduce their water and energy use, alongside their ongoing bills.
