The Bathroom Manufacturers Association’s conference raised a fantastic sum of £4,235 to support the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Appeal.
The two-day event, held at Carden Park on June 6 & 7, featured fund-raising initiatives for the Ukraine Emergency Appeal, which included a charity golf challenge.
Funds were also raised through a silent auction and a raffle with prizes including a luxury pamper hamper from Roman Showers, an iPad from Neoperl, a GOXTREME HD Action Camera from UWLA, a Luxury Hamper from Roca / Laufen, a John Lewis voucher from Vitra and a bottle of Malt Whiskey gifted by the outgoing BMA President, John Robinson.
The silent auction lots included B&B stays at Carden Park Hotel and Telford Hotel, a Manchester United Shirt Signed by Ronaldo, gifted by Kohler Mira, two golf vouchers gifted by Methven, and two tickets for the KBB Review Retail & Design Awards 2023 gifted by Taylist Media.
BMA Chief Executive, Tom Reynolds, said: “The bathroom manufacturing sector is demonstrating its generosity and solidarity through these fundraising efforts.
“We were thrilled to have 150 delegates attend the conference over two days, and we were hoping to raise about £2,000, but to more than double, that is phenomenal.
“At this moment, all eyes around the world are on Ukraine and it is important we all do what we can to support those who are suffering. Thank you to all those who contributed to this fundraising effort, your generosity is overwhelming.”
Saleh Saeed, DEC Chief Executive said:
“Fundraisers like this have made a huge contribution to our Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal, which has now raised an incredible £350 million and is helping to support families affected by the conflict both inside Ukraine itself and in neighbouring countries. I want to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in putting on this event. More than doubling your initial target is a fantastic achievement, well done.”
