Prisync, an international market intelligence software company, has joined the Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA) as an affiliate member.
The Turkish firm helps businesses to understand the marketplace through automatic monitoring, helping companies to make informed business decisions. The company’s Dynamic Pricing Engine can enable manufacturers to apply algorithmic repricing.
BMA Chief Executive, Tom Reynolds, said: “We are pleased to welcome Prisync as an affiliate. Bathroom manufacturers are always looking for the smart business solutions that can help give them an edge, and price monitoring can provide important business intelligence.
“Brand-owners must be exercise good judgement when using such tools. Last year, a Competitions and Markets Authority (CMA) investigation found two musical instrument manufacturers had used online price monitoring software to identify retailers selling below an agreed price and had then threatened them with withholding of stock or withdrawal of financial support for marketing promotions. CMA eventually issued multi-million-pound fines to the two companies.
“At BMA we strongly promote the importance of competition law. Prisync share our view and want to help business leaders benefit from better intelligence on market conditions while staying the right side of the law.”
Burc Tanir, CEO of Prisync, “The bathroom industry is one of the biggest targets for our software and we were looking for a reliable industry association to showcase our product to the major bathroom brands in the UK, we felt the BMA was the right door to knock on.”
