NBS recently published the Sustainable Futures Report, a study aimed at understanding sustainability attitudes and protocols within the construction sector.
The report includes the views of over 600 professionals and paints a picture of sustainability in the construction industry and covers everything from how sustainability is approached and measured to how trends have developed and changed over time.
Lee Jones, Acting Head of Sustainability at Byggfakta Group, and Jenny Archer, NBS’ Senior Research Executive and Author of the Sustainable Futures Report will discuss the report’s key findings and what construction professionals can do to try and achieve sustainable outcomes.

Lee has over 20 years’ experience in the manufacturing sector, predominantly working with building product manufacturers. Most recently before joining the NBS, Lee was the Digital Construction Manager at international sanitary ware firm ‘Ideal Standard’, where he was responsible for the digitalisation of the group’s products, seeing them become leaders in the field of BIM and structured product data. Lee is also a qualified Mechanical Engineer and Architectural Technologist, holding a Masters’ Degree in Sustainable Architecture and Healthy Buildings.
Jenny Archer, CMRS, Senior Research Executive, NBS
Jenny is an experienced researcher with 17 years’ experience in the field, including over nine years at NBS. Jenny specialises in quantitative research and has experience in other areas including in-depth telephone interviews and competitor analysis. Research projects at NBS have included the NBS Construction Manufacturers Marketing Report, NBS Specification Survey, and the NBS National BIM Survey, as well as a number of research projects for construction product manufacturers, the UK government, the RIBA and other projects for NBS.
Outside the built environment, Jenny delivered research for the public sector including that used to inform service delivery improvements and marketing campaign evaluation.
